As part of the national mobilization to reduce the impact and risks of the Coronavirus pandemic, and in accordance with the values of solidarity and mutual aid to ensure the security, safety, pride and stability of our country;
And in accordance with the enlightened vision and the High Royal Will of HIS MAJESTY MOHAMMED VI MAY GOD HAS ASSIST HIM, calling for the creation of a special fund for the management of the Coronavirus pandemic;
And in compliance with the constitutional principle according to which solidarity actions must be put in place to face the burdens resulting from disasters;
The Moroccan Association of the Presidents of the Councils of Prefectures and Provinces glorifies all the Royal directives and initiatives that put the security of the country and its citizens above all considerations, and confirms its support to the public authorities throughout the national territory in order to fight against this epidemic and besiege it, and salutes the general mobilization, the impulse of solidarity and the continuous and vigorous action of all the civil and military institutions of our country.
The Association also praises the initiatives of the Presidents of the Councils of Prefectures and Provinces and their deputies, the Secretaries General of the Councils and their deputies, as well as those of the Presidents of the Standing Committees and their deputies, for contributing an amount corresponding to one month’s salary to the special Coronavirus Fund to support the national effort to fight this pandemic. The Association calls on the other Presidents of the Councils of Prefectures and Provinces to also contribute to this fund.
The Association also urges all the Presidents of the Councils of Prefectures and Provinces to allocate the surplus budgets of the Councils they chair, or at least a portion thereof, to the Covid-19 Pandemic Management Fund. We ask them to be vigilant and fully involved in this battle that our country is waging to preserve the security of its citizens.
The Moroccan Association of the Presidents of the Councils of Prefectures and Provinces expresses its permanent predisposition to serve issues of territorial interest, and calls on the Presidents of the Councils of Prefectures and Provinces to continue to provide all forms of material and moral support to local authorities in order to facilitate their actions.
